In Massachusetts, young people under 18 must obtain the consent of a parent to access abortion, or go through an onerous process of getting a judge’s permission. The process, known as judicial bypass, forces young people to find a lawyer, take off school, get to a courthouse, and go before a judge to justify why they are not yet ready to become a parent. Join the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund for a panel that brings together experts to talk about how judicial bypass works, the effects it has on young people in our state, and how you can take action to ensure that this burdensome system doesn’t delay or deny care for more young people across the Commonwealth. Seating is limited, so please RSVP above to let us know you’ll make it!
